Another Successful Season For Te Awamutu Racing

Te Awamutu trainers and jockeys have had another very successful season in 2009/10.

Leading the way among the trainers have been Richard and Chris Otto who have saddled up 25 winners. In addition they have collected 18 seconds and nine thirds. The stable’s stake earnings this season amount to $368,058.

Graeme and Mark Sanders have trained 22 winners this season and their stable’s stake earnings amount to $241,138.

Robert Priscott and Clayton Chipperfield have trained 12 winners this season and have amassed stake earnings for the stable of $278,914.

Craig Grylls, son of former champion jockey Gary Grylls, is the leading jockey at the centre this season.

Grylls has ridden 69 winners – with three at black type level – and his mounts have won $1.24 million this season.
